About Us
I started making cake pops in the fall of 2011 when my church asked me to for a fundraiser to benefit our higher learning scholarship fund for graduates going to college. This was also the time when I lost my job. I had never had a cake pop before, but was delighted in my assignment to support our youth. So, in my small kitchen I completed these round cake balls on a stick, dipped in chocolate and decorated with sprinkles. They turned out great and were an instant hit!
I then spent that holiday season making them for my grandchildren and taking them to share with friends and their families. But what I was making were just baked cake balls on a stick, somewhat different than what I now create after doing some research online.
I enjoyed seeing the reaction from all who I shared these confections with, especially the children. It was amazing! I currently have five grandchildren and they call me Mimi. Yup, you guessed it, Mimi's Cake Pops was born! And in the spring of 2012. I started my small business of producing these yummy hand rolled cake balls for birthday's, baby showers, weddings and for anyone who wanted a unique standout treats for any occasion. My handcrafted cake pops are artwork to me. Taking great pleasure in creating a consistent, visually appealing and deliciousness with every bite. It has become my passion, my way of utilizing my creative side and entreprenurial spirit.
I am thankful to all of my supporters of family, friends and business partners for helping me share the love of what I do and bringing Mimi's Gourmet Cake Pops to you. I didn't seek or plan this for my life, it found me and for that l give it all the glory to God.
